Architect, PhD Public Health, Full Professor in Hospital Design and Urban Health at Politecnico di Milano where he is Head of the Department of Architecture, Built environment and Construction engineering (DABC) and Scientific Coordinator of the Design & Health Lab. President of the National Centre for Hospital Building and Technology (CNETO) and the Joint Research Partnership Healthcare Infrastructures (JRP HI). Scientific Responsible for the report ‘Hospitals of the future’ of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Working Group ‘Hospitals and Social-sanitary Facilities’ of the Italian Standards Body (UNI). He has conducted numerous technical-scientific support activities for the development and evaluation of hospital and socio-sanitary infrastructures and is author of more than 160 scientific publications.
