Andrea Rolando is Full Professor at Politecnico di Milano, Department of Architecture and Urban Studies. Skilled in Urban Planning, Sustainable Design and Strategies for Slow Tourism. Strong education professional with a PhD focused in Urban analysis from Università degli Studi di Roma ‘La Sapienza’. The main research interests are in the field of analysis and representation of complex systems between urban and regional scale, with specific focus on the relationships between infrastructure and landscape. Recent works are related to the concept of smart region and the role of ICTs as drivers as of territorial innovation and to processes of spatial and economic development generated by slow tourism.
