The Master in Sport Design and Management is pleased to host today’s conference, a key session within the cycle dedicated to Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026. Organized by the Master’s board in collaboration with the Gen26 Education Programme, this event examines various sports stories.

As the organizers, our goal is to provide a professional platform where academic theory meets the operational reality of major sporting events.

The program features a panel of athletes and experts who will analyze the evolution of the sporting movement from both a competitive and institutional perspective:

• Emilio Faroldi: Vice-Rector of Politecnico di Milano and Director of the Master in Sport Design and Management

• Pierangelo Metrangolo: Rector’s Delegate for Sports Activities Politecnico di Milano

• Davide Allegri: Researcher and Supervisor of the “Passion in Action” Course Politecnico di Milano

• Giulia Ghiretti: Paralympic swimming gold medalist and Polimi Alumna

• Marta Pagnini: Former Captain of the “Farfalle” and Olympic bronze medalist in rhythmic gymnastics

• Anna De la Forest: Icon of Italian Ice Hockey

The discussion will be moderated by Federica Lodi, journalist at Sky Sport.

This conference serves as a practical extension of the Master in Sport Design and Management curriculum. By hosting the Gen26 Education Programme, we aim to provide our students and the university community with a direct look at the management, legacy, and infrastructure standards required for a global event.
