The opening ceremony of the 162nd Academic Year of the Politecnico di Milano occurred yesterday. Rector Donatella Sciuto in her welcoming speech focused on the theme of sport and its formative and unifying role. With her there were the Director of International Master in Sport Design and Management Emilio Faroldi and some of the greatest personalities in Italian sports such as Alberto Amodeo (swimmer, 2-time Olympic gold medalist in Paris 2024), Federico Andreoli (professional tandem para-cycling), Filippo Ganna (Olympic gold medalist in Tokyo 2020 and current record hour record holder with a distance of 56.792 km) and Giulia Ghiretti (swimmer and Olympic gold medalist in Paris 2024).
